Hello, I'm Jacqueline

I'm the founder of Motherforce. I spent 20 years in corporate HR where I sat in many leadership meetings as we questioned and debated "How do we hire/ retain/ attract more women into leadership/ engineering/ senior roles?" Never were the challenges of mothering whilst having a demanding corporate role discussed (except amongst the mothers!). There was often a presumed loss of ambition once they became mothers.

Then in 2015 I became a mother and I finally got it! The traditional corporate world of work was not built with mothers in mind. It was built by men, for men who had wives at home to do all of the child rearing and domestic labour.

Thankfully societal culture has changed but many organisations have not adapted to the new reality, so many women are forced to choose between work, being able to be the mother they want to  or burnout...
